Mica Grange was also part of the Castlemaine Garden Festival. Much of the property is quite open, with good use made of existing rocks and uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. The owner specialises in creating core-ten metal art work which is displayed in the garden.
Castlemaine holds a festival of gardens every two years and had 22 gardens open this year. Mossbank garden in Castlemaine was one of several highlights of the festival.
We visited a very special country garden, Jamelyn Heights Garden – Neerim East. Features near the entrance of this large country garden, included two circular hedges with curved faces and double flowering Wisteria’s inside them.
