Camberwell Courtyard Landscape Design Melbourne

This small brick home in Camberwell has a narrow shady front garden, a raised garden bed along the driveway and a larger courtyard space at the rear. Our photographs illustrate courtyard landscape design Melbourne.

Our task was to create a garden with beautiful flowering plants and interesting foliage texture for a couple of experienced gardeners. 

In the courtyard, existing paving was reconfigured to create more garden space. An ornamental timber screen was built and cables installed to support Star Jasmine with under-planting of Liriope and Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’. Other climbers include Boston Ivy and a colourful Mandevilla.

Michellia was chosen for covering a side fence and a Crepe Mrytle for  providing shade. Shrubs chosen included colourful Azalea Shiraz, Sweet Box, Gardenia with tough upright Nandina in pots. A sense of lushness was created with layered planting and the inclusion of New Zealand Rock Lillies and Tractor Plant in the foreground.
